Fitness Level: Easy - Moderate
This trip is tailored to suit your fitness level and preferred level of engagement. Each day includes guided activities, with hikes ranging from easy to moderate and leisurely e-biking that ensures a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
All activities are optional, with alternatives available to suit your preferences. Biking is not required, and alternative transportation will be provided for touring the wine country.
DETAILS:
Arrival/Departure: Ljubljana Airport is conveniently located midway between Bled and Ljubljana, with a 25-minute bus ride to each destination.
Pre/Post travel: If you would like to arrive a day early to avoid potential travel delays at the start of the tour (recommended), we can reserve your room in Bled for an additional charge.
Accommodations: We'll stay in 3 and 4 star hotels. All are clean, comfortable, and unique to ensure a memorable, culturally-rich stay. Trip pricing is based on double occupancy.
Meals: Included in the price are eight breakfasts plus eight dinners. Lunches are on your own, with options including restaurants, mountain huts, or the chance to shop at local grocery stores. Most days, we will travel together to the lunch destination.
Water: Slovenia has some of the best drinking water in Europe and is considered pristine.
Transportation: We will travel together in two comfortable seven-passenger vans.
Packing: A backpack is recommended for day trips, along with one piece of luggage that meets overhead-sized requirements. A detailed packing list will be provided to all participants well before departure.
Weather: The weather in Slovenia in late September is mild, with temperatures ranging from the 50s to 60s°F, and cooler in the mountains. It’s recommended to pack layers for the chillier mornings and evenings, and be prepared for some rainy days as well.
Payment dates: A $600 deposit holds your spot. Half of the balance is due 6 months prior to departure, and the remaining balance is due 3 months prior to departure.
