Terms and Conditions
Reserving a trip
Upon receipt of a $600 deposit with your completed Registration forms, Swiss Hiking Tours will reserve a space on your requested trip. Upon payment of the deposit, you agree to these terms and conditions, forming a binding contract between you and Swiss Hiking Tours. If you make a booking on behalf of other participants, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept these Terms on behalf of the other participants in your party.

A deposit of $600 per person is required to secure your booking. Your reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit. Deposits are non-refundable unless Swiss Hiking Tours cancels the trip.
The remaining balance of the trip price is due 90 days before departure. Failure to pay by the due date may result in the cancellation of your booking.

Cost Includes
Unless otherwise indicated in the specific itinerary for a trip, the cost includes pre-trip guidance, guides, all sleeping accommodations, meals and transportation and entrance fees as specified in the detailed itineraries, items not on the set dinner menus, or personal services and purchases.

Cost Does Not Include
Unless otherwise indicated in the specific itinerary for a trip, the cost does not include airfare, passport or visas fees, airport taxes, medical costs, costs of evacuation from remote areas, individual/optional trains, buses, lifts or excursions, lunches, beverages, certain meals as specified in detailed itineraries, items not on the set dinner menus, or personal services and purchases.

Group Size
Each tour has a set minimum and maximum number of participants. We reserve the right to cancel tours if the minimum group size is not met by the final payment deadline (90 days before departure). Travelers should wait for confirmation that the tour will proceed before booking flights. If the tour is canceled due to insufficient participants, a full refund will be issued.

Changes to Itinerary
We may modify the itinerary if the route is deemed unsafe due to weather, safety issues, or other factors beyond our control. Refunds will not be issued for itinerary changes.
Passport and Visas
You are responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport with 6 months validity and any necessary visas for the tour.

Travel Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing short-term travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation, trip interruption, lost baggage, and medical emergencies. Travel insurance typically reimburses non-refundable expenses, such as airfare and land costs, if you must cancel due to injury, illness, or family emergencies. Additionally, it can cover emergency evacuation expenses from remote locations. Travel insurance is available through most insurance and travel agencies.

Conduct and Compliance
You agree to follow the instructions of the tour leader for your safety and the safety of the group. We reserve the right to remove any participant who poses a risk or disrupts the group experience at their own expense, with no right of refund. You are required to comply with all the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited.

Acceptance of Risk
You acknowledge that hiking and adventure travel involve inherent risks. You accept full responsibility for your participation and release Swiss Hiking Tours from liability for any injuries, losses, or damages.

Optional Activities
Optional activities not included in the tour price are undertaken at your own risk. We are not liable for any incidents that occur during such activities.

Photos and Videos
You grant Swiss hiking Tours permission and royalty-free license to use photographs and videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes unless you notify us in writing before the tour.

We respect your privacy and will protect your personal information. Your details will only be used for booking and operational purposes unless you consent otherwise.
